My Dad: I remember waiting in line to buy tickets for playoff games in the 80s
My Mom: And when we actually went it was the VERY TOP ROW of Reunion Arena
Me: Wait...When was this?
My Dad: 85...No! 1986
Me: Was mom pregnant with me? :-O
My Mom: Yeah! And I was having to walk up all those stairs!
Me: I WAS AT A MAVERICK PLAYOFF GAME? OMG! MOM! Thank you, I love you! *Hugs* Happy Mother's Day! Oh, did we win the game?
My Mom: I don't know, ask your dad.
My Dad: Yeah, we won.
Me: My mind is blown right now.

My Mom: (Talking about Lamar Odom) What's with his yellow shoes? That is so tacky!
Laker Fan: That's part of the uniform!
My Mom: No it's not! If it were they would all be wearing yellow shoes. They need to coordinate their outfits.

My Facebook Status: Do you taste that? It's the flavor of 3-0. Sweet, huh?
I’ve taken to praying with my students in my first class of the day. I think it’s a good way to start the school day, and it is a Christian school, but some of their requests are downright tickling.
Examples:
“Can we pray that I win my ebay auction so I can build a roller coaster with my K-nex?”
“Let’s pray for the polar bears because the ice caps are melting.”
“Pray for people in Africa, because they don’t have X-box.”
“My rabbits ran away, so we’re getting a guinea pig. Can we pray for him?”
“I want to pray that the video game company I sent an e-mail to writes me back.”
I’m sure there is more to come….I really do pray for anything they request, although I might reword it a little to try to make it seem a little more in line with what I hope to be God’s will. (For instance, I prayed that the student who wanted to win the e-bay auction use what he learns to become an great engineer someday :-P) But I also use it as an excuse to pray for things like the Mavericks winning their games….
