For some reason I’ve always been fascinated with NBA players that you wouldn’t consider to be tall enough to play. It all started with this guy right here.
Remember in elementary school when they had you read those little fake newspapers just to improve your literacy? I read an article about Spud Webb and I was enthralled.
The article was about when this picture was taken, at the 1986 Dunk Contest here in Dallas. At 5’7”, Spud isn’t tall even off the basketball court, but you see him here doing a backwards dunk. BACKWARDS. He won the dunk contest, for the record. Legend.
