For some reason I’ve always been fascinated with NBA players that you wouldn’t consider to be tall enough to play. It all started with this guy right here.
Remember in elementary school when they had you read those little fake newspapers just to improve your literacy? I read an article about Spud Webb and I was enthralled.
The article was about when this picture was taken, at the 1986 Dunk Contest here in Dallas. At 5’7”, Spud isn’t tall even off the basketball court, but you see him here doing a backwards dunk. BACKWARDS. He won the dunk contest, for the record. Legend.

After their crummy season, I’m happy for the Cavaliers. I was starting to feel really bad for them during their losing streak, and the fact that they broke that streak on the Lakers was pretty gratifying as well.
This was last month, but I want to go again SOOOOO bad. Even if it’s the real cheap seats, I want to be THERE Monday…..
