Jimmy Jackson, Jason Kidd, Jamal Mashburn
I know most of you have no clue who this is, but I love me some Jimmy Jackson! lol
Had stickers of him on the wall of my childhood bedroom, along with the rest of the “3 Js”. Seems like this guy played for every team in the NBA lol.
Adrian Wojnarowski just put everyone that writes about sports, especially the NBA, on full notice. MUST READ.
Read it now.
Yes, he clutched the trophy, but mostly the memories of making the Mavericks a relevant franchise out of a joke, carving a legacy and a legend as a forever hero. LeBron James will win a title, but he’ll never own it the way that Dirk Nowitzki did this one. This wasn’t even a Top 10 excerpt from this piece. I don’t want to ruin it. Go read. Then come back and laugh at silly photos and inane blathering.
I was going to try and write something about this game, but Adrian Wojnarowski just dropped a bomb, and now all is lost.
That really was a great article. Dirk Nowitzki can basically do no wrong. He’s one in a billion…
Jason Terry and JJ Barea (from my island, Puerto Rico, and we’re shamelessly proud of him tonight) proved they were clutchier than the Heat in Game 5. Let’s not forget Fuhrer Dirk’s 29 points, but these guys and deserve an honorable mention. Huge shout out to Chandler, Marion, and Kidd for their defense and play making. I think…I think we might win it, guys.
Re-blogged for the word “clutchier”
I like it.
*1 W away ! NBA Finals 3-2 MAVS !
Yes! I’m on such a high right now!
What a team effort tonight, that was incredible.
I am now convinced that my Jason Kidd shirt has mystical powers.
Jason Kidd to all those people who said he had an off game in game 4:
How cute is he? Seriously! And people wonder how he ended up with a Miss Universe. I don’t wonder at all.
It’s only a torn tendon on the middle finger of his left hand, his non-shooting hand. And he can protect it with a splint.
Still, after the way the Mavericks shot in the opener, anything else that might throw off their aim could be trouble.
Uh-oh..
“It won’t affect him. He’s still going to be great. He’s still Dirk.” - Lebron James
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I agree with Lebron.
Another edit
So excited! I’m going to rally for a Mavericks pride day at my school on Tuesday
