Brain Mountains of History
I don’t know what else to call the phenomenon. You’ve likely all experienced it. It happens when a history teacher cares more about one area of history than another. They spend more time studying this era than any other. They spend more time talking about it than any other subject. Hence you know more about it than everything else.

Andrew Jackson
So I don’t like Andrew Jackson. He was a popular president, but I just figure he’s a pretty mean guy. It’s mostly his Native American policy, but I just generally don’t like him. (He also caused the Panic of 1837, too, but he didn’t have as much Economic policy history as the 7th President to really know that….)
